Founded in 2015, Industrial Steamworks Designs specializes in Industrial and Vintage Style Assemblage Art, Lighting and Décor. Each piece is handcrafted and one-of-a-kind and most feature unique antique and vintage items. Artfully created, our pieces are never mass produced.

I have had a fasination with the Victorian Era and Industrial Revolution since my first visits to the Science Museum of London as a child and finding  myself drawn into the power of the great steam engines and the magical properties of early electrical devices. This probably had a large part in my going into a career in industrial process controls and machinery. During my career, I have traveled to factories around the world and witnessed the decommissioning of the magnificent brass gauges and geared machinery of the Industrial Age. To save some of this history from the landfills and celebrate the era, my wife and I created Industrial Steamworks Designs, where we take vintage and antique elements from bygone eras and build them into pieces of art that complement home and business alike. We initially focused on industrial pieces but now enjoy creating works from vintage home, marine, and farm equipment as well. 

I hope you enjoy our creations as we bring elements from the past to new life through art.

Henry Walton

One of our first commissions was to design a pool table light for the Steampunk themed brewery, Clockwerks Brewing, in Minneapolis MN (pictured in the above photo). Now, several custom lighting pieces from ISD may be found throughout the brewery. 

Since that time, we have designed and installed custom works for other restaurants, businesses, and private residences including Fletcher's Ice Cream in Minneapolis, MN , Victoria Burrow in Victoria, MN, and Matrix Events in Denver, CO.
